The RPRD represents the latest advancement in fire fighter bunker suit technology and engineering. Designed and invented by a Toronto fire fighter and developed in conjunction with Starfield-Lion and Lion Apparel, it has two primary functions. The first is the extrication of a downed fire fighter in a feet first direction. The second is the shortening of the packaging protocol, by eliminating the need to undo any SCBA straps.
